Life Groups
Doing Life Together
Want to join a smaller group of people within the Central community? Our Life Groups are unique gatherings of people who journey, love, and learn together to become more like Christ. Each one is a unique expression of the “grow” in our mission of REACH, GROW and EQUIP. Life Groups are great places to get to know others and gain a sense of belonging in God’s family. They're also a place to connect around serving others.
The typical size of a Life Group is determined by the size of the location hosting it. While a home may accommodate a larger group, the study/discussion time and caring time breaks out within the home to sub-groups of no more than 6-7 people.
A life group is the heartbeat of the church… a place where we can study scripture, pray together, offer support and encouragement and serve others… in other words it’s where we “do life together”. Each group has a leader, co-leader(s) and a host. Together, they help create an environment for nurture and growth. They are trained and guided by the Life Group Minister. If you desire to grow spiritually, in the context of community, consider the following:
Join A Life Group
Life Groups at CCC are “open” groups and will always have an “empty” chair for new participants. Also, at various times within the year, groups will begin new cycles and signups will be encouraged.
If you’re interested in joining a group, you can contact the church office at 423-764-9013 or email Ken Hawes, our Life Group Minister at ken@cccbristol.com. You may also indicate your interest and desire on the tear off section of the program during Sunday Worship experiences and drop it in the offering. Our Life Group Minister will contact you to help you get into a group that best meets your needs.
Each Life Group is built upon a “three legged stool” of ice breakers (a time to get to know each other better), study/discussion times (to get into God’s word together) and a caring time (to offer support and prayer).
Life Groups - are a fun, safe, inviting process for meeting others and sharing life in Jesus together. If you're looking for a place to belong at Central Christian Church or for people who can participate in your journey and story, we hope you'll sign up with a group soon.
